Yes, we are an accredited High School. We are accredited by AdvancED (now Cognia), the largest community of education professionals in the world. AdvancED is the trusted partner to 34,000 educational institutions—employing more than four million educators and enrolling more than 20 million students—across the United States and 70 other nations. Our college board number is 290023.
AdvancED operates three commissions: 1) North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI); 2) Southern Association of Colleges and School Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI); and 3) Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC). AdvancED schools are accredited under all three commissions since a merger in 2012. So SVHS is accredited under all three commissions.
SVHS is also accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC).
SVHS courses are also approved by the NCAA and the University of California, A-G program.
