Middle school students may enroll in our courses, but these courses do not count for high school credit unless the student has graduated from 8th grade. While the courses may help students place into higher-level classes in subjects like math or Spanish, students should check with their intended high school to determine if taking our courses would be beneficial.
Students are considered incoming 9th graders during the summer after completing 8th grade. If a student takes a final exam for an SVHS course after June 1st of their first high school summer, those credits may transfer to their high school transcript, depending on their school or school district's policy. Students must verify transfer policies directly with their high school, as we cannot speak to the requirements of other schools.
